When You're Taking Flack, You're Over The Target
Round Rock ISD parents win hard fought victory and expose more Wilco corruption
“But there were also false prophets among the people …
They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for ‘people are slaves to whatever has mastered them’.” 2 Peter 2:1, 19
The continuing saga of the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees fighting parents, students and good sense took a new turn last week.
RR ISD parents won a hard fought victory in their ongoing struggle against the RR ISD Board of Trustees’ godless corruption: Embattled Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez was put on leave forcing RR ISD trustees to admit his many failings.
The Fox News story linked above also includes this disturbing, little nugget:
Ryan Deck, the defense attorney representing Story and Clark, told Fox News that Hobbs offered to present the case before a grand jury, allowing Story and Clark to present their side of events as well.
"It is absolutely abnormal, atypical for a misdemeanor case to be presented to a grand jury," Deck told Fox News. He said Texas courts generally have used grand juries for felonies, not misdemeanors.
This fight has also exposed the corruption of Williamson County Attorney Dee Hobbs and Williamson County Sheriff Mike Gleason. The county attorney and sheriff are seemingly doing the bidding the progressives on the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees, weaponizing their offices against free citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Mr. Hobbs campaign website brags “I treat everyone equally because of my faith not because it is what I think you want to hear. I do it because it is the right thing to do.” In Mr. Hobbs’ world, it seems, some crimes are more equal than others.
Yet, here we see the underappreciated value of righteous resistance: Its persistent application forces the seemingly nice and well-spoken monsters among us to reveal their true selves.
